Grant Inquiry Form
An online grant inquiry form must be submitted first. Blandin Foundation grants staff will determine if your organization and project are eligible for support based on the questions below. If your project is eligible, a grants staff member will contact you. 
Eligibility

Only nonprofit organizations located in the State of Minnesota are eligible for grants.

Note: Organizations that are authorized by the IRS as having Section 501(c)(3)status are organized exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes. Section 501(c)(3)organizations are broken down into two general classifications referred to as "public charities" and "private foundations."

Requests intended to serve the populations of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Duluth, Moorhead, Rochester, St. Cloud and Mankato are not eligible for funding.
Projects with the following purposes are ineligible for funding from the Blandin Foundation:
  • Outside of the state of Minnesota
  • Urban projects
  • Religious activities
  • Medical research
  • Travel grants for individuals or groups
  • Camping and athletic programs
  • Ordinary government services
  • Individuals
  • Grants solely intended to influence legislation
